How much impact do our everyday actions really have on our CO₂ emissions? This question was at the heart of the Objectif 2 Tonnes workshop, an engaging and collaborative initiative recently hosted at the Paris office in partnership with AutonoVie.
Designed to raise awareness while remaining practical and accessible, the workshop gave employees the opportunity to better understand their carbon footprint and identify concrete actions to reduce it in their daily lives.
At the origin of this initiative, AutonoVie promotes a strong and inspiring vision, combining autonomy and quality of life. Its mission is to encourage a more balanced lifestyle, less focused on consumerism and individualism, while respecting both people and the environment.
An Interactive and Engaging Experience
The workshops were marked by active involvement from participants. The atmosphere was dynamic and collaborative, encouraging open dialogue and reflection.
A key highlight of the workshop was a group activity during which participants had to rank different everyday actions according to the amount of CO₂ emissions they believed each one generated.
Participants were also encouraged to reflect more concretely on their own carbon footprint by considering their daily habits, including the use of connected devices, the consumption of animal proteins and dairy products, as well as transportation choices such as car use and air travel.
This approach helped make the topic more personal and tangible, enabling participants to better understand how individual choices influence overall emissions.
By the end of the workshop, participants left with:
- A clear understanding of what one tonne of CO₂ represents
- Simple and concrete benchmarks to assess their impact
- Practical actions they can implement in their daily lives
Led by Jérémy, who personally designed the workshop, the session benefited from an approach that was particularly natural, educational, and well-documented, while leaving ample room for questions and discussion.
Understanding the 2050 Target: Two Tonnes
One of the workshop’s central concepts is the objective of reducing emissions to two tonnes of CO₂ per person per year by 2050, in line with international climate commitments.
Today, the average carbon footprint in many developed countries remains significantly above this threshold. Reaching this objective therefore requires major changes in the way we live, consume, and travel.
The workshop helped make this target more concrete by enabling participants to visualize the gap between current practices and future expectations, while highlighting the essential role of both individual and collective actions.
Looking Ahead
The Objectif 2 Tonnes workshop demonstrated the value of initiatives that combine awareness, discussion, and concrete action. By encouraging dialogue and reflection, this type of workshop helps foster a more responsible and engaged workplace culture.
Through this collaboration with AutonoVie, the Paris office experienced a meaningful initiative that not only raised awareness about CO₂ emissions, but also encouraged deeper reflection on how our everyday habits can contribute to a more sustainable future.
